Green Tea

Nice to see I’m not the only one religiously guzzling down this wonder drink!


Ok so first off, its yellow … not green?

But I have been drinking a ton of the stuff! Why? Well here are 10 benefits of drinking green tea!

  1. It contains various antioxidants that help keep your body in tip top shape.
  2. Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce an effect. It also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can work synergistically with caffeine to improve brain function. (I drink the decaf version).
  3. Green tea has been shown to boost the metabolic rate and increase fat burning in the short term.
  4. The antioxidants have been shown to reduce your risk of cancer!
  5. The bioactive compounds in green tea can have various protective effects on neurons and may reduce the risk of both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, the two most common neurodegenerative disorders.
  6. Green tea can kill bacteria, helping dental health, and reducing the risk of infection.

  1. Whenever someone says to me ‘i don’t like XXXX (name a product or a dish)’ I just say to them – it wasn’t cooked properly. Give it another go, look for a high rated recipe or just look for someone who can prepare certain things really well.


    • Good point. Many times, I find, that the more you eat/drink something, the more it seems tolerable. I’ve introduced immeasurable amounts of foods into my diet over the last few years that I “didn’t eat”. Just by being patient and wanting the health benefits of the said item.

      Low and behold, I start genuinely liking it!
